Join us on Friday, August 14th for a family-friendly Shabbat gathering centered around great food, meaningful conversation, and genuine community. Whether you're coming with young children or simply enjoy the energy of a family table, this evening is designed to help parents connect while kids play, create, and experience the joy of Shabbat together. We'll begin the evening with appetizers, time to mingle, and plenty of outdoor fun for kids on our spacious property, including basketball, soccer, tag, and open play. As the sun sets over the mountains, we'll gather for a few short and meaningful Shabbat blessings before sitting down to a fresh, family-style meal prepared by The Falafel Garden featuring handmade falafel, fresh hummus, tahini, Israeli salad, cabbage salad, chicken, rice, challah, wine, and dairy-free dessert. After dinner, adults are invited to explore a short passage from the week's Torah portion in an open, welcoming discussion where all perspectives are encouraged and no prior knowledge is necessary. At the same time, children will enjoy a Shabbat-themed craft with experienced Hebrew school teacher, Megan Sass, giving parents an opportunity for meaningful conversation while kids engage in a fun and age-appropriate Jewish activity. Good food. Good conversation. Good people. We'd love to welcome your family to the table.
