One year of rhythm. One year of inspiración. One year of raising our voices together in Southeast LA. It’s hard to believe it’s already been a full year since we first gathered to share our stories, but Poesía for the People is officially turning one! We’re bringing back some of your favorite local authors and familiar faces from the past year. Come out to grab some incredible poetry books, prints, and custom merch directly from the creators. If you’ve never been to a Poesía night, the magic is in the room itself—it's a warm, inclusive, en inglés y en español collective experience where everyone is family. Note on Proceeds: Your donations on anniversary night do double duty. A portion goes directly toward keeping Poesía accessible, while 50% directly funds Stay Arts, a non-profit dedicated to broadening arts access and empowering youth and local artists right here in SELA. Come for the poetry. Stay for the people. Let’s pack the room, celebrate how far we've come, and set the tone for year two. RSVP early, secure your spot, and bring a friend!
