Elina Chauvet: Corazón al Hilo MAD54 and Galeria1204 are honored to present Corazón al Hilo, the first solo show of feminist Mexican artist Elina Chauvet in New York City. Thoughtfully timed to coincide with Women’s History Month, the popup presentation is set to run from March 26- 29 in Tribeca, with an opening reception attended by the artist on Wednesday, March 26. The exhibition will showcase a selection of Chauvet’s embroidered textiles, her latest body of work, which draws inspiration from her collaboration with Maria Grazia Chiuri in 2023. The exhibition will also feature a presentation of Chauvet’s riveting performance piece Confianza (2013–ongoing) on its final day, Saturday, 29 March. Curated by Aida Valdez and Lorena Ramos, Corazón al Hilo invites New Yorkers to confront the ongoing gender-based violence through the perspective of a captivating Latin American artist who has dedicated her life to creating artworks that challenge patriarchal norms and inspire deep reflection on their pervasiveness in society. Address: 102 Franklin Street, #2 Opening Reception: Wednesday March 26, 6 - 9 pm Popup Dates: 27 - 29 March, 2025 Opening Hours: 12 - 6 pm
