Too Hot 4 a Fascist Summer: Seneca Village Picnic

🍓 Seneca Village Picnic 📍Sheep Meadow, Central Park | 🕰 June 21st, 3PM-6PM We remember. We gather. We reclaim. Before Central Park, there was Seneca Village — a thriving Black and multi-racial community that was erased to make way for the elite. This picnic is a living tribute and joyful resistance: we’re bringing Seneca Village back to life, if only for an afternoon. Come dressed in your best vintage, picnic, or Bridgerton-inspired fits — think ruffles, pastels, parasols, or Black dandy realness — and join us for a picnic in the shadow of Billionaire’s Row, where we’ll be honoring the history, dancing in defiance, and building our future. Expect: 🎻 Music 🧺 Blanket-style picnic hangs 🎤 Pop-up storytelling 💃🏽 A surprise runway moment 🧀Charcuterie, fruits, cute foods like that ✊🏾 Collective call to action for freedom, repair, and justice This is part of Get Free NYC’s Too Hot 4 a Fascist Summer Week of Action — where we say no more erasure, and yes to reckoning, repair, and joy. We’re not just gathering in memory — we’re organizing to protect the freedoms our ancestors fought for. Pull up. Bring your friends. Reclaim the land with us. ✨ RSVP now. The revolution is dressed to the nines.
