PARKING at the Norman O. Houston Park. We will meet at the north side of the parking lot. (See Map under the Photos below)
AKA-LA will provide (at no cost to you!) sandwiches, chips, fruit & water, as well as plates & napkins! Just bring yourself!
Wear comfortable active wear. Long pants/leggings are recommended as there may be areas along the trail with high brush & branches. Wear comfortable hiking or tennis shoes. We recommend that you bring water. It may be chilly in the morning, so dress accordingly.

8:30 am - Meet at the north side of the Norman O. Houston Park parking lot
9:00 am - Start Hike (2.6 miles -- see depiction of Hiking Trail under Photos below)
11:00 am - Picnic Lunch provided by AKA-LA (no cost)
This hike was initiated 5 years ago by Jodie Olson, a KAD in San Diego, as a way for all KADs and their loved ones to be able to feel connected on the same day, doing something healthy for free, all over the world. Exercise is good for mental health, hiking is deeply rooted in Korean culture and May is both AANHPI month (Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander) and Mental Health Awareness Month.
