Qigong is a mind–body practice from Traditional Chinese Medicine that combines gentle movement, breathwork, and focused intention to cultivate and balance Qi (life energy) in the body.
3 Core elements of QiGong are:
1. Movement
- Slow, flowing, repetitive motions
- Often circular or wave-like
- Designed to open energy pathways (meridians)
2. Breathing
- Deep, relaxed breathing (usually through the nose)
- Breath guides the movement
- Helps shift the body out of stress mode
3. Intention (Mind)
- Gentle awareness, visualization, or focus
- Not forcing—more “allowing”
- This is what separates QiGong from simple stretching
