As we head into the end of 2025, a time that family and friends often gather, Queer Arts Featured hosts a memorial art activation to gather and remember.
En Absentia: A Memorial Art Activation
What opens a window to remembering a beloved whom we’ve lost? What actions, skills, knowledge, objects, rituals?... Join us, open minded and open hearted, to see how others have answered this question. Explore memorial art through 3D portraiture, poetry, precious stone sculpture, reimagining of sacred objects, and the queering of genealogy.
Come to share stories of beloveds and reflect on how you stay connected and remember, in this space that can uniquely hold the complexity of emotion around the absence of beloveds.
