Unlike most conversations about AI in higher education, this session moves beyond theory and predictions into active design. Hosted by the Future of Higher Ed (FOHE) Boston in partnership with IDEO, the event brings together students, faculty, institutional leaders, and EdTech founders for a hands-on exploration of how AI is actually shaping the student experience and how students believe it should be.
What makes this session distinct is its starting point: students. The program opens with a student-only panel that surfaces real tensions, unmet needs, and opportunities emerging on campus today. From there, participants shift into mixed-role design teams to co-create practical, student-centered solutions for an AI-enabled future of learning.
This is not a passive conversation. It is a working session grounded in real challenges, designed to generate actionable ideas and new ways of thinking about implementation, access, and impact.
Participants will leave not just with perspective, but with concrete insights and at least one idea they can take back and apply within their own institution or organization.
This event is a part of #BOSTechWeek—a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem. Learn more at www.tech-week.com.
