As we approach World AIDS Day 2025, we warmly invite you to join us in a meaningful commemoration hosted by the Mother Candide Center on December 5, 2025 (Friday) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mere Adrienne Conference Room. This year’s theme, “Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response,” urges us to confront the challenges brought by inequality, stigma, and disruptions in care while reaffirming the fundamental right to health, dignity, and equitable access for all people This year’s highlight is a powerful mini musical entitled “Kita sa Gihapon,” written and directed by Mr. Raymart Eufracio, Community Mobilization Officer of Team Dugong Bughaw, Inc. Performed by the Mother Candide Center HACT (HIV and AIDS Core Team), Team Dugong Bughaw YACT (Youth Alliance Core Team), and community volunteers, this production brings to life the real stories of our PLHIV clients. Through storytelling, the musical invites us to see beyond the diagnosis and serves as a reminder that every narrative shared moves us closer to breaking stigma and strengthening hope in our community. To deepen the impact of this experience, the Director will conduct a brief survey on audiovisual semiotics during dinnertime. This survey aims to understand how the themes, emotions, and messages of the musical were received by the audience. By examining how visual and auditory elements influenced your understanding and empathy, we can better evaluate the effectiveness of using art as a medium for advocacy. Your insights will guide us in creating even more meaningful, transformative programs that uplift our clients’ voices and strengthen our HIV response. As we take tangible steps to create an HIV-friendly workplace, let us come together and transform the AIDS response for a healthier, more inclusive, and #StigmaFreeSanPablo.
