It's a get your hands-dirty kind of Saturday in Chicago!
At Loess, we believe in leaving the outdoors a little bit better than we found it, and empowering our local community. So we're taking that off the trail and into the dirt for an afternoon volunteering at Chicago Lights Urban Farm — an urban farm that grows over 5,000 pounds of produce each season while supporting job opportunities in urban agriculture.
We'll start with a farm tour and orientation, then spend the next two hours working the land together: weeding, seeding, planting, hauling compost, and general site beautification. Dress in clothes you don't mind getting dirty, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring your own gardening gloves.
Free, 18+, and spots are capped at 11 — first come, first served. Women and allies welcome :)
