Join us for an afternoon of solution-focused conversations on how technology, finance, and policy can both prevent and respond to climate change. This special program features two back-to-back panels that together paint a full picture of climate action—from cutting emissions to building resilient communities. Panel 1 – Innovation for a Livable Planet How can we keep global temperature rise below 2 °C while powering a growing world? Founders, engineers, and investors share practical strategies for rapid emissions reduction and system-wide transformation. Topics include: renewable energy, transportation electrification, carbon capture, circular economy, sustainable agriculture and building materials, and the critical roles of finance, entrepreneurship, and policy in scaling these solutions. Speakers: Aaron Fyke, Founder, Thin Line Capital — Infrastructure investment and grid resilience Alec Miller, Climate Tech Leader — Data tools, AI, and modeling for emissions tracking Jaysen Harris, Co-founder, Elevated Materials — Upcycling and circular building solutions Bill Beverly, Co-founder, Evolectric — Decarbonizing transportation through electrification Panel 2 – Building Better: Innovation and Policy Regulation As droughts, wildfires, and crop failures intensify, how can communities strengthen infrastructure and bounce back sustainably? This session will explore strategies for off-grid housing, resilient water systems, and utility management to protect lives and resources. Speakers: Caroline Paules, Lead Engineer, Casa Nova Studio Inc — Off-grid housing and sustainable resource management Adrian Hightower, Sustainability and Resilience Manager — Water system resilience and emergency response Kishani De Silva, Faculty and Inaugural Chair (2021–2023), Construction Management, Woodbury University; Founder, 2A+D Management Services LLC — 3D-printed housing, sustainable construction, and design justice Evan Johnson – Electrification Program Manager at Pasadena Water and Power Why Attend Together, these conversations reveal the dual challenge—and opportunity—of our time: cutting emissions fast enough to avoid the worst impacts while adapting to the climate changes already underway. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of proven technologies, emerging policies, and cross-sector collaborations that can accelerate progress toward a safe, low-carbon planet.
