This event is a fireside chat + mixer for a curated room of founders, researchers, physicians, and angel investors in the neurotech space to gather to exchange ideas, forge meaningful relationships, and discuss the state of the evolving neurotech field. By bridging the gap between biological intelligence, AI, and governance systems, we aim to catalyze the breakthroughs that will define the next decade of cognitive enhancement and computational neuroscience. This event will be part of a series of NeuroNYC's newest NeuroAI initiative. Large scale AI models are being built for the brain, neural interfaces are moving from lab to clinic, and AI architectures are increasingly drawing inspiration from neuroscience. As these technologies advance, so do the ethical and governance questions they raise: who owns neural data, and what guardrails should guide AI systems modeled on or decoding the brain? These challenges demand expertise that no single discipline can provide alone. New York City sits at a unique crossroads of neuroscience, AI, medicine, engineering, ethics, and policy talent, and that's what NeuroAI aims to bridge.
