Join us for the inaugural Our Freedom: A Festival of Music & Movements, a day-long gathering in Oakland celebrating music, movement, and collective liberation.
Taking place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, this vibrant festival brings together diverse artists, organizers, and community members for a powerful experience rooted in joy, healing, and connection. Through live music, dance, workshops, and performances, we honor the role of art as a force for transformation and social change.
Centering intergenerational voices across genres, the festival uplifts women, queer, and BIPOC artists while inviting the community into practices of healing justice and embodied expression. Inspired by Oakland’s deep legacy of movement-building, this is a space to gather, reflect, and celebrate what freedom means today.
The day will feature performances, participatory singing, workshops, and an evening concert, along with opportunities to connect with local organizations, artists, vendors and community partners. A portion of proceeds will support grassroots groups working at the intersection of healing justice and land stewardship.
Whether you come for the music, the movement, or the community, you are invited to be part of something meaningful, joyful, and alive.
Date: Saturday, July 11, 2026
