Closing Reception: Thursday, July 24, 3:30–7:30 PM
35 Bartlett Street, San Francisco
You are invited to the closing reception of Nancy Mona Russell’s solo show, Intermezzo Flow, on Thursday, July 24, from 3:30 to 7:30 PM at Faro Contemporary (35 Bartlett Street, San Francisco).
For the closing event, we will be refreshing the selection with a few new pieces.
The timing also overlaps with the Mission Community Farmers Market, which happens just outside on Bartlett Street and adds a wonderful energy to the day and evening. It’s a lovely time to be in the neighborhood.
Please feel free to stop by, say hello, and help us close the show on a joyful note.
Curator’s statement:
Nancy Mona Russell completed her study in fine art painting in 1967. In the 58 years since, she has continued to focus on colorful abstract impressionistic work. She has experimented with scale. And her attention to painting has wavered. This, her first new series in over two decades, marks a new chapter.
"Intermezzo Flow" refers to the energy of her latest work: both the liminal states between chapters and the act of returning to flow.
Faro Contemporary presents “Intermezzo Flow” alongside a selection of Russell’s works from the last few years, offering a perspective on the artist’s evolving practice.
