Rastah and Ayat NYC are hosting an evening built around one idea: food, sport, and fashion aren't just culture — they're tools for real community change.
The night opens with a panel discussion featuring Darializa Avila Chevalier, Democratic nominee for New York's 13th Congressional District; Zain, co-founder of Rastah; and Abdul Elnani, founder of Ayat NYC. The conversation will be moderated by Sarah Khan.
During the event, Ayat NYC — known for their large-scale street dinners feeding hundreds across the city — will serve a free dinner for all guests at a first-come first-serve basis.
For decades, Pakistani artisans have hand-stitched nearly every World Cup football — yet Pakistan has never fielded a team in the tournament. Rastah made a ball to put those hands in the story, co-branded with Ayat. That ball will be auctioned on the night, alongside a limited run of Rastah × Ayat keffiyehs. Guests can also shop Rastah's World Cup collection and beyond, with a portion of those proceeds going to the fund. All auction and keffiyeh proceeds go entirely to the NYC Soccer Initiative — building football pitches for kids across all five boroughs as part of the FIFA World Cup 2026 legacy.
Free and open to the public. Entry is first-come, first-served — an RSVP doesn't guarantee a seat inside, but you're welcome to gather outside, where panel audio will be played and dinner will still be served.
