CHI Lounge is thrilled to announce the Chinatown After Market party taking place every second Friday at 818 Washington Street in the heart of San Francisco's Chinatown. Immediately following the vibrant Chinatown Night Market, this afterparty extends the night with drinks, dancing, and even more vendors. This project is a revitalization effort breathing new life into the heart of downtown with artfully curated events. As she grew up, Yuka became serious about making her own music and started DJing in London in Camden Town, training at the London Sound Academy. She has played in premiere venues and nightclubs all over London, East Asia, and North America. Yuka sings and plays the Chinese flute, and DJ’s regularly with live musicians who play the GuZheng (古筝), violin, bass guitar, trumpet and didgeridoo. Immersed in a multi-cultural and conflicted atmosphere, her experience in Eastern and Western cultures inspires her creation of music. Xiao Xiao is a Pi Pa player in San Francisco, she blends traditional Chinese melodies with contemporary sounds, guided by her belief in music‘s healing power. Her improvisational work unites past and present, inviting harmony across genres. Kamu Kamu Kamu Kamu is a DJ, Artist & Cultural Conservationist. As a DJ he has held residencies in London, San Francisco, Uganda & Boston and has performed in Miami, Ibiza, Nassau & South Africa. After an 8-year hiatus Kamu Kamu has returned with an Afrocentric focus that celebrates western electronic genres from a tribal/indigenous perspective. His name is derived from the ancient Luganda proverb “Kamu Kamu gwe muganda” which means “one by one makes a bundle”. Symbolic of his mission to bring different people and cultures together one track at a time.
