Following its premiere at Pioneer Works, Picto presents an intimate acoustic adaptation of Dysnomia Live: Silent Green, where still photography and live sound unfold together in real time.
Alexandre Dupeyron works through fifteen years of photographic archives like a musician on stage, selecting, layering, and dissolving images in direct response to the music. Composer and bassist Thomas Julienne reimagines the double bass through preparation, friction, and raw texture, joined by vocalist Ellinoa and bass trombonist Alix Tucou.
Structured around three foundational questions (Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going?), Silent Green marks the ongoing mutation of Dysnomia Live. Conceived as an ode to ecosophy, it calls on us to heed the plant world and re-center ecological interdependence.
This gathering at Picto NY presents a unique acoustic version, offering a rare chance to witness the work in its most stripped-back form.
