On March 1, 2026 Ivy Ekiden will host a Tailgate for Indoor Heps and our own (unsanctioned, unsupervised!) Ekiden race. Come hang out at the bar, eat some food, and cheer on your old teammates! Tickets include one drink ticket and catered catered food. We’ll hop on the train to the Armory together to catch the first event on the track.
Wondering what an Ekiden race is? Ekiden is a long distance relay race popular in Japan where athletes pass sashes called "Tasuki" to each other and deliver it to the finish line. Parents, alums, and friends of the Heps are welcome to form teams of 4 (or come alone and we'll assign you!) to run our 2.1 mile course along and in Central Park.
Not in shape anymore? Come have a few beers at the bar.
Tailgate Cover (Includes catered food and a drink ticket):
$25 for alumni who graduated within the last 5 years
$50 for everyone else!
