Join Outdoor Asian Chicago and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for a fun, beginner-friendly fishing event at McKinley Park! 🎣 Whether you’re a first-time angler or just want to brush up on the basics, this event is the perfect opportunity to learn the essentials of fishing and try your luck at reeling in a catch. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲! If you miss us, we'll be just south of the tennis courts. PARKING (closest option to our fishing location): Free parking is available along 37th street on the north side of the park. Please note that 37th street is one way (going east) from Archer to Damen. Additional parking is also available at the fieldhouse parking lot. The entrance to the parking lot is off Pershing, just east of Western Ave. Lunch We will be catering Jimmy Johns and Uyuhaus ice cream and having a picnic after fishing. ★𝑵𝑶𝑻𝑬★ You do NOT need to purchase a fishing license or gear for this event! Bait, tackle, fishing poles, and all other materials you need to participate will be provided.
