COLLAGE A CD COVER! BURN A CD! SWAP MIXTAPES! TRY YOUR HAND AT TAPE DUBBING & VINYL RIPPING! Have some old CDs/tapes/vinyl to swap? Bring it on for the swap table ↔️ We’re bringing back the slow, analog, make-it-yourself kind of listening. Cut, paste, rip, burn, dub and leave with something you can actually hold & pass along to a friend. Bring a laptop & chargers 🧑‍💻for the workshop We strongly encourage you to have your playlist prepped & sound files ready to rip ✨💿 $10+ / no one turned away for a lack of funds ⚠️Please note that the workshop space is up a flight of stairs, and unfortunately the space is not wheelchair accessible 🔧🔧🔧🔧 Dirty Work Studio is composed of Sid Drmay, Elise Glaser, Shalaka Jadhav, and Natalie Vuong, a group of queer cultural workers based on Block 2 of the Haldimand Tract (Kitchener, ON). Across the four studiomates, they are affiliated with over 12+ arts and cultural organizations, bridging expertise across writing, research, curatorial practice, and design.
