If you want to deepen your connections to your Korean heritage and the Chicago-area immigrant community, come join HANA Center's adult pungmul group, Ilgwanori 일과놀이! 💫
At our open house, you will meet some current members, learn about our mission, and get hands on with the drums.
We will have a light dinner including some Korean food at the start of the event.
Ilgwanori (which means 'work and play') aims to empower our community by playing drums and working towards social justice together.
No prior experience with pungmul, drumming, or music necessary! 🎶
Our group centers adults with Korean heritage in any form, including but not limited to immigrants, Korean Americans, Korean adoptees, mixed and multiracial Koreans, or their descendants.
Any questions? Please contact our HANA Center Organizer, Hahrim Choi at hchoi2@hanacenter.org
(P.S. If you can't make it but are still interested in IGNR, fill out the RSVP and leave a message with your name and contact info so we can connect with you!! Or email Hahrim at the email address above.)
