Arizona is emerging as an important hub for deep technology innovation across climate, energy, semiconductors, and advanced infrastructure. As the state continues to experience rapid economic and population growth, founders, investors, and policymakers are increasingly focused on building the next generation of companies that will power a more resilient and innovative energy system.
Kickoff AZ Tech Week with an event which brings together leaders from across Arizona’s innovation ecosystem for a conversation on what it takes to build and scale deep tech climate and energy ventures in the state. The event will feature a panel discussion with Chris Erickson, Managing Partner of Pangea Ventures, and Blaise Caudill, Energy Policy Advisor to Governor Katie Hobbs, who will share perspectives on how capital, technology, and public policy are shaping the region’s growing energy innovation ecosystem.
The event will also include a Founder Showcase, where several Arizona-based deep tech startups will briefly present their companies and the technologies they are developing.
For the Founder Showcase, we will hear from Manas Pathak of Grid8, building an integrated platform to accelerate grid interconnection and deliver reliable power for AI-driven infrastructure; Peter Firth of Swift Coat, developing advanced coating technology to enable domestically produced, space-grade solar glass; and Logan Hessefort of Lysis, advancing molecular recycling to convert polyurethane foam waste into high-value chemical feedstocks.
The event is hosted by Tam Kemabonta in partnership with The Heard Building, a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation in downtown Phoenix.
