#keepplating: the pop up series
On December 12th 2025, an entire kitchen staff walked out of Bar Casa Vale during the middle of dinner service in solidarity with the executive chef who was physically assaulted by the assistant general manager. The following day the entire kitchen staff was terminated for walking out with no repercussions for the assistant general manager who assaulted the chef.
#keepplating is a pop up series brought to you by Madman pop up to directly protest the treatment and injustice that the kitchen staff faced at the hands of Bar Casa Vale and their management. We are asking for any means of support for helping us get this off the ground whether it be through time donations, spreading the word or coming to eat some delicious paella from great cooks who no longer have a job because they stood ten toes down on doing the right thing. There will be paella, pintxos (spanish appetizers), sangria, cocktails, and dessert. Come through and support and help spread our story so this doesn't happen to anyone else!
