Loops & Lovers is back at Danger Danger for our last party of the Summer! This month we're excited to be featuring Vikmatic & Xica Soul. Vik is a Brooklyn-based DJ and producer raised on Indian classical, jazz, and fusion — influences that still run through his sets and productions today. A resident on Boxout.fm, he plays regularly around NYC at spots like Eavesdrop, Night Club 101, Commune, Suono, and the Brooklyn Museum. Xica (chee-kuh) Soul is a Los Angeles-based DJ known for artful blends of sultry rhythms, fierce thumpers, and dreamy nostalgia that guide dancefloors to unexpected places. Raised in South San Diego on a soundtrack of funk, oldies, disco, and new wave, she's built a record collection that's as much personal history as it is musical archive. That same devotion to community shows up in her monthly dublab radio show, SoundProof, and in the spaces she creates on the decks, where dancers of all backgrounds feel seen, celebrated, and connected through sound.
