Pet Sematary - Horror at The Hiway Mixer + Film
We have partnered with our friends from The Hiway Theater and MovieJawn to present this F-Rated Horror classic on the big screen on 35MM!! But first at 8PM we mix and mingle at Human Robot just next door to the theater. From 8-9:30pm meet new horror loving fans, shop sick horror reads from Capricorn Bookshop, enter our raffle of amazing prizes, & participate in fun activities and crafts like color fun hor”her” themed coloring pages, and a Stephen King matching game! At 9:30PM lets head over to The Hiway theater (just next door) and visit concessions to snag some sweet treats before the pitch-perfect and truly unsettling adaptation of the Stephen King novel, PET SEMATARY tells the story of a grieving father who, after tragedy strikes, discovers a burial site in his backyard that can bring the dead back to life. The only caveat is that whoever goes into the ground doesn’t come back the same. Director Mary Lambert, known for her groundbreaking music video work with Madonna and Janet Jackson, brings a stylish and slightly campy take to King’s horrific meditation on grief. Rated R. Also!!
