Peak Design is excited to host, Tasheena Littleben who will present Honoring Our Matriarchs, a family legacy woven through generations
Spend the evening with Tasheena and fellow artists as they share their craft, stories, and work. A drum circle rounds out the celebration, and weavings will be available for purchase at the end of the show.
Tasheena is presenting work spanning three generations of her family:
Lucy Littleben, the family's 94-year-old matriarch, whose weavings were made entirely by hand — raising the sheep, processing the wool, and dyeing it with locally sourced plants.
Tasheena's mother and aunts, the Littleben sisters, weavers of the trading post era, each with her own style.
Tasheena and her cousins, the current generation — including a one-of-a-kind lowrider bicycle featuring her woven artwork, made in collaboration with Bobby.
This event will be filmed and space is limited so please arrive early. Thank you and looking forward to seeing you there.
