Experience the future of aviation at Arizona Tech Week at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University–Prescott on Thursday, April 9, 2026, where innovation meets hands-on discovery. Guests will enjoy seamless transition between events via private transportation, providing convenient 20-minute transfers between the ERAU campus and their flight training complex. One of the highlights of the days experiences is The UAS Flight Experience, featuring an exciting outdoor flight demonstration at the ERAU UAS Airfield. Participants will have the rare opportunity to fly small uncrewed aircraft systems (sUAS) under the expert supervision of ERAU UAS Professors and Lab Technicians, observe advanced sensor demonstrations using industrial-sized UAS equipped with LiDAR and a multispectral capabilities sensor capabilities, explore static displays of ERAU’s diverse UAS fleet, and see cutting-edge research, photogrammetry and sensor data interpretation in action. In addition, you will be treated to full immersion in ERAU’s full-motion FRASCA simulators. These devices replicate both Diamond DA-42 Twinstar and Textron-Cessna 172 SkyHawk aircraft through advance six degree of freedom control and use of most advanced visual graphic generation systems on the market (same visual engines as Chat GPT!). ERAU experts in flight training will guide you through a once in a lifetime experience exactly like their flight students experience as part of their collegiate Aeronautical Science degree program. Finally, you’ll be offered the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of three of the most advanced aircraft currently used anywhere in the world for flight education and training. The Diamond DA-42 VI “Twinstar” is the most powerful twin-engine trainer on the market with robust safety features. This sleek aircraft will give you feeling of being in air while firmly on the ground! The venerable and trusty, Textron-Cessna C-172 “SkyHawk” is the icon in flight training. ERAU’s fleet boasts an average age of just two years! Our Cubcrafter NxCub, used by our current US NIFA National Championship Golden Eagle Flight Team offers the ability to see what high quality aircraft are used in collegiate flight competitions. All of them also include the most advanced avionics on the market to deliver the highest quality flight environment available. Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University is the world leader in aviation and aerospace higher education. Our mission is to teach the science, practice and business of aviation and aerospace, preparing students for productive careers and leadership roles in business, government agencies and the military.
