Pirate’s Cove Boulder Routes
In partnership with Orange County Coastkeeper & Asian Climbing Collective, please join us on Saturday, September 19th for Coastal Cleanup Day! This is a day when we come together as a community on an international scale to clean our beaches, parks, and waterways. We’ll start the day with beach cleanup, followed by outdoor bouldering! It will be sunny, so bring water, sunscreen, and a hat. Please also bring your own snacks/food if you plan on staying for the entire event! (There will be some food provided but only while supplies last) 🏝️ CLEANUP: 9am-11:30am Bags and gloves will be provided. Each cleanup volunteer will receive a Sender One day pass (while supplies last). 🧗 CLIMB: 12pm-3pm After cleanup and lunch, you are welcome to climb or chill and enjoy the beach😊 Pirate’s Cove boulders are sandstone. Please bring your own shoes and chalk. Please also bring your own crash pad if you have one. If not, there will be others’ to share :) ** We will not be responsible for supervising new climbers or providing qualified instruction during this event** (See link above for Pirate’s Cove boulder routes) We’re excited that this will be some of y’all’s first time climbing outdoors! Please be aware that we will not be responsible for supervising new climbers. There will be experienced climbers to help offer support and spot, but please know your limits and what you’re comfortable with. Climbing is a great way to build mental fortitude and venture out of your comfort zone. Just remember to communicate with your spotters and check in with yourself🫶🏻 🚗 BEACH PARKING Carpool is highly encouraged. Besides street parking, you may park at the lot next to Pirate’s Cove: Corona Del Mar Main Beach Parking Lot 3000 Breakers Dr Corona Del Mar, CA 92625 If you are attending with a group but driving separately, another option would be to park at Fashion Island shopping mall (where the Arc’teryx store is located — this is where we’ll be ending the event) and your group can carpool together in one car over to the beach. 🌟 ARC’TERYX RAFFLE: 4:00 PM After the beach, we’ll head over to the nearby Arc’teryx store at Fashion Island (<2 miles away) for raffle prizes! OC Coastkeeper will also be there, so stop by to learn more about this great nonprofit! Come hangout, shop, and enjoy Pressed Juice & snacks provided by the store. Arc’teryx Store 1079 Newport Center Dr Newport Beach, CA 92660 ‼️ Please make sure to sign the liability waiver (linked above) and be prepared to show your confirmation email upon arrival at the cleanup site. Excited to see you all there!!!🥳
