Join us in a natural space that offers our queer community the opportunity to come together and find budding romance in an organic and intentional way.
If you love nature, are looking for love, and want to explore creating your own floral arrangements, this event is perfect for you!
At this event we will be pairing people together based on astrology & intentions in dating.
Our picnic will be pot-luck style so please bring a blanket, a snack or home cooked dish if you can, and drinks if you’re interested in indulging in that. Water is important as well, in this heat we have to stay hydrated.

Ticket includes:
⁃ Admission into our event held at the picnic grove next to Pierce Mill
⁃ 3 astrology & intention based matches with thought-provoking questions for each round!
⁃ 20 minute guided trail walk through the rock creek forest
⁃ A bouquet of flowers to take home with you

Who it’s for:
Singles, ages 21+, who value intentional connections, creativity & nature, and are open to dating! This event is only for queer women + trans, and non-binary people.
This event is centering East Africans but is open to the African diaspora.

Dress code:
Comfortable yet stylish clothes are encouraged. We will be walking through the forest and set up outside so be mindful of that. Semi-casual.
Ultimately you can wear whatever you like that is comfortable for these conditions but you want to look good to make a great first impression!

Event flow:
3:00pm - Arrival, check-in, name tag distribution, greetings
3:15pm - Picnic set-up, dropping off gear
3:20 - Guided trail walk through Rock Creek begins
3:40 - Return to picnic area, introduction of the event, snacks & drinks are passed out
3:50 - Flower arrangement has begun & matches have been revealed
4:00 - First match
4:20 - Second match
4:40 - Third match
5:00 - Guests are allowed to continue mingling
6:00 - Reflection on matches & connection, continuation of flower arrangement
7:00 - Event ends

Guest experience:
Arrival - Please arrive within the first 15 minutes to get the full experience of the event. If you’re on time, you’re late for this event. It’s very important not to be late! We will begin our trail walk further into Rock Creek park after 15-20 minutes and cannot guarantee being able to greet you. If you do show up later than this you can text us and meet us in the picnic area when we finish our trail walk.
Picnic essentials - Please bring a blanket, snacks, and drinks.
Wear comfortable shoes that are good for walking as well!

Policies:
Photos & videos - If photos are taken for the event, we will ask for consent but we respect our guest’s privacy in their dating process, so it won’t include anyone’s faces.
Refunds - Refunds are available up to 3 days before the event.
Dissatisfaction with format, matches, or late arrival are not valid grounds for a refund.

Parking is available at the picnic grove next to Pierce mill, where we will meet.
If you can drive multiple people or need a ride, let us know!

We kept our ticket costs as low as possible to cover the floral bouquets included.
We’d love to do more creative dating events like this so if you have the ability to pay more to contribute to future events, it would be deeply appreciated!
