We’re back at Handlebar this Wednesday, 4/15 for another Nice to Meet You night. It's a relaxed, no-pressure way to meet new people and actually have conversations that go somewhere.
My partner and I run these twice a month, and the goal is simple: make it easier for adults to meet other adults without it feeling awkward or forced.

⏰ Time: 6-8pm
📍 Where: Handlebar - 4127 Manchester Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110
Never been before? Totally fine! Most people come solo their first time. We’ll guide things so you’re not just standing around wondering who to talk to.
Here’s how the night usually goes:
You’ll be seated in a small group (4–6 people)
We’ll rotate groups every 30 minutes
There are a few light prompts if you need them, but nothing forced

🥂 Free welcome shot if you’re there before 6:30 (bar’s choice, NA option included)

Fully inclusive and all identities are welcome
This is about making friends, not dating
We keep it capped at around 35 people so it doesn’t get overwhelming. Showing up a little early definitely helps.
Also worth knowing this week:
Handlebar is also hosting another community event earlier in the evening called Communitea from 5–8pm. It’s a space for folks to connect around local issues, share resources, and talk about ways to get involved in the St. Louis community.
The two events will be happening on different sides of the bar, so feel free to check out either - or both! If you're interested in community organizing and meeting new people socially, it’s a great chance to experience a little of each.
NTMY does officially wrap up 8pm, however, Handlebar does karaoke starting right after and a bunch of us usually stick around to hang out and cheer people on 🎤. It's not required, just a bonus if you’re feeling brave (or supportive)!
📅 If you can’t make this one, the next meetup is Friday, May 1st. We do this every first Friday and third Wednesday of the month!
That’s it - nothing fancy. Just a good group of people showing up and talking to each other.
