IL6: Difficult Listening

This is the first DIFFICULT LISTENING variation of intentional listening. These sounds are intended to unsettle, agitate, or discomfort in some way. These works might be challenging for some ears, but this is NOT intended to be an endurance contest. If you watch psychological thrillers or horror movies, this will be familiar territory. If I were asked to select music for a Lynch or Cronenberg film, many of these would be possible selections. Discordant experimental, dark ambient, avant-garde jazz, chaotic noise, and creepy modern classical are all possible sounds for the antithesis of easy listening. The mix will be under 1 hour in length and the music will start by 7:30.
The purpose of intentional listening events is to elevate the experience of audio, making the art of sound the primary focus of our attention. No multi-tasking, phones, or conversation during the music. We give our undivided attention to interesting audio. Discussions often follow.
Feel free to come early and hang out later.
