Walk of Whimsy Adventure in NYC

Hosted by

Calling old friends and new (dogs & kiddos are welcome🐶): It’s my birthday and I want to bring childlike wonder, delight and playful mischief to the people of nyc in the form of a WHIMSICAL PARADE LIKE spectacle (we will be walking on the sidewalk for safety). ❓🎊🌸How does this work? On Saturday 4/25 we will meet in Washington Square Park under the Big Arch (rain or shine) at 3pm we will do a warm up together (light stretching & movement). I will have some magically delightful homemade props to share (or bring your own/preferably homemade), and then we will walk/dance/skip/meander/roller skate to Tompkins Square Park. I will post a map so if you want to pop in en route you can find us; 🙌🌊🙌For those that want to hang out after, we will likely gather in a spot on the LES for a drink & food. No pressure to join. 🌸❓☀️🫂QUESTIONS🫂☀️❓🌸 1. What’s whimsical? Anything that makes your inner child squeal, smile or jump up and down. Bring things that might illicit connection with strangers like balls, flowers, notes you can give away, signs that have questions, bubbles, maps that don’t make sense, wigs, handmade trinkets like friendship bracelets, tiny diaramas, etc. Just make sure it’s rooted in kindness & joyful connection. 2. Are kids welcome? YES, but you are responsible for their safety. 3. Why are you doing this? It’s a fun experiment that was inspired by the monks who walked from Texas to DC this past fall. The intention is to create connection rooted in whimsy, child like wonder & giggles. 4. What if I can’t join for the whole experience? Come for as long as you like🌈🌸🌈 5. I saw this in the nyc clown what’s app group. Is this clowning? It’s clown adjacent. I would call this playful mischief that’s rooted in connection.
