🏝️Queer Hike Club presents a local beach cleanup effort! Let us pick up plastics and other garbage in great company along our beautiful beach in the early evening. 🌈 ⏳Time: up to a couple hours, roughly 3 miles or less. We will walk north starting from mile marker directly across Carlin Park 🐚Terrain: sandy beach with some hilly areas, mostly fine sand but occasionally areas with lots of shells. 🚮 Collection: one size disposable gloves and collection bags of multiple sizes will be available. One set of the accessible grabber reacher tool that aids in picking up items off the ground without the user having to reach. If you have this device, consider bringing for yourself or others to use; so far one will be for communal use. 🌊Packing list: shoes for beach, hat, sunscreen, water bottle(s), bug spray. Optional: bathing suit, snack(s), grabber reacher tool 🛵Parking: head to the beach directly across of Carlin Park, mile marker #57. There are parking lots on either side of A1A, we will be going to the beach - not the park itself. So we can meet at 4PM outside of Dune Dog Beach Shack located at 6 Van Kessel Pkwy Jupiter, FL 33477 United States ⏩️ afterparty: consider joining the local queer community for an anti-4th of July variety show at Propaganda in Lake worth at 8PM, show starts at 9PM. Entry fee $10, there will be live music, drag, burlesque, and fire dancers. This is a safe and inclusive event centered around LGBTQIA+ communities, with no tolerance for bigotry of any kind towards the queer community.🏳️‍⚧️
