Join us for an introductory zine making workshop, with a twist! This zine making workshop is dedicated to engaging with Boston's lesbian history. Each participant will be given an envelope containing information, images, facts, and other clippings related to an aspect of Boston's lesbian history (such as a figure, event, or location). You'll then have the creative freedom to share each story by making a zine!
We'll have plenty of fun craft supplies too, and a demonstration on how to fold your zine. We’ll even make a scan of your zines to print more copies and share them through Take a Zine, Leave a Zine boxes across Boston—so others can learn and engage with local history as well!
Whether you're new to zine-making or looking to expand your skills, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to create, share, and connect with local queer history + zine community!
Note: While the history explored in this workshop explores the lesbian identity, all are welcome to participate.
