Wellness Night at SMF

Join our flying community for a relaxing evening of yoga, breathwork, and a sound bath, hosted by our own awesome instructors Emily Hacker and Danny Grijalva! This event is free and open to anyone. Donations will be accepted. Class will start at 7:00pm in the SMF hangar. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to set up. The event will consist of a beginner-level yoga class hosted by Danny, followed by a breathwork session led by Emily, and closed out by a sound bath. Please wear comfortable clothes you can stretch in and bring your own yoga mat, yoga/face towel, blocks, straps, etc. Somatic breathwork is an embodiment practice that allows you to clear out old patterns, thoughts, and emotions through guided rhythmic breath. Potential Benefits of Breathwork: Clear brain fog Reduce stress Heal past trauma Connect deeper to self Gain clarity on difficult decisions or situations Boost creativity Heal grief Ease anxiety And more Breathwork can cause some changes in body temperature. Please bring cozy clothes to layer on after your yoga practice (cozy socks, sweats, sweatshirt, blanket.) Additionally, you may find an eye mask or something to cover your eyes supportive of your breathwork practice. We will close out our practice to the soothing sounds of singing bowls, chimes, and rainsticks, in a meditative savasana, perfect for the end of the day. Can't wait to see you there!
