Houston-based artist Abigail Simpson presents STATE OF FEELING, her debut solo exhibition at Mid Main Gallery. This collection reflects a journey from reality to abstraction. Rooted in photography, the work expands into collage, ceramics, and painting—all grounded in lived experience. Each piece was shaped by the artist’s shifting mental states, offering an intimate glimpse into her ongoing transmutations. Some are quiet and cohesive; others loud and uncomfortable. Together, they reflect an enduring attempt to stay present while moving through uncertainty and vulnerability. The exhibition is an unguarded, personal exploration of the self, on view at Mid Main Gallery from March 14 to May 1.
