Yamato Scrub Natural Area | Saturday, May 16, 2026  Join QHC for a late afternoon hike through Yamato Scrub Natural Area. We’ll cover a planned 3.2-mile route along sand trails and service roads, crossing wooden bridges and the occasional paved stretch, moving through pine flatwoods and open scrub as the day begins to cool. We meet at 4 PM at the map kiosk in the parking lot. Parking is limited—entrance is west of the Boca Raton Shrine Club—so please carpool if you can. Expect uneven, sandy terrain. Bring water, wear appropriate footwear, and come ready for a steady, grounded walk. There are no restroom facilities at the park. Cost: Free.
