Come learn the broad sweep of extraction's history and logic, as well as ways to effectively counter that logic in our local moment and context. Local activist groups focusing on a range of climate, social justice, and anti-AI data center issues will be present with tables, presenting alongside emerging leaders from The Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery (CDDD). Featured panelists include: * Cayce Ramey: an Episcopal priest charged with heresy for public work on reparations and racial justice, Cayce will help us use systems-focused tools to guide change in Lancaster. * Doe Hoyer: the Organizing Director and song leader with the CDDD, coordinating cultural and structural change campaigns with the Repair Network, Doe will talk about reconciling with the earth through participating in Land Back and in ongoing repentance of the Doctrine of Discovery. * Frank Arcoleo: the AI Data Center expert for Lancaster Stands Up, Frank has been instrumental in slowing down and giving community voice to the arrival of data centers in Lancaster. Panel discussion will be followed by full audience Q&A and conversation. The Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery is holding their annual gathering in Harrisburg & Lancaster from July 31 to Aug 3, with this event as one of many in the larger conference.
