Let’s Get Hiking!

Peaks and Pie! Let’s get together to enjoy a day of frolic and fun in the woods! Stony Man is the second tallest peak in the park, but with a rise of only about 340 feet from the railhead (via the shorter route) it is great for families. This is on the long weekend so a perfect time to come for a day or stay overnight and explore more of the park! No park pass? We can try to coordinate carpooling? The Plan: 🥾 Meet at the Stony Man trailhead in Shenandoah National Park to hike together—a park pass is required. Choose the 1.3-mile or 3.4-mile loop. 🥧 Then head to Skyland Lodge for lunch, a drink, and the famous blackberry ice cream pie! 💦 Anyone who wants can add a second hike afterward. Maybe a waterfall hike?? 👶🏼 Kids are welcome! We can flip logs, play games or just enjoy along the way. 🎉 Host will bring bubbles, nature scavenger hunts, Jr Ranger books, Shenandoah stickers and mothership collective stickers, too, but feel free to bring your own stuff! Closest food and restrooms to the trailhead are at the Skyland Lodge, about 2 minute drive from trailhead.
