The Richmond Community Legal Fund was born out of our faith that we could fight the rising tide of fascism and win. This spring, our fund turned one year old. Our team, our movement, and our fight for freedom is much older, and has much farther to go. In the past year we have covered nearly half a million dollars in legal costs for members of our community facing immigration and civil rights charges. We have paid bonds for our neighbors, we have rushed funds to families in need, we have made critical legal representation accessible for people who would otherwise face the state without a defense.
