Sound Of Soul
In honor of Women’s Month, we are gathering in an intentional space for women to write, speak, and give back to women in need, hosted inside Chyelle, a vintage furniture store and café curated for New York living. Guests can mingle and enjoy beverages!
We will begin the evening by introducing our benefiting organizations, I Support the Girls NYC and Girls Inc. of New York City. Our host, Star Angel, Events Director of Her Studio New York, will lead a writing workshop with warm-ups and prompts to help you tap into your voice and creativity. Afterward, we will open the floor for a Circle of Voices open mic, where participants can share their work. The evening will close with smaller group conversations for reflection and connection.
In the spirit of giving, we will also be collecting menstrual products to donate to women in need. Please consider bringing new, unopened pads, tampons, liners, or other menstrual essentials. Please note there is a required $10 donation (via venmo: @soundofsoul or zelle to herstudionewyorkofficial@gmail.com) to attend in order to maximize impact.

Providing material support to vulnerable New Yorkers and the organizations that serve them, including those in shelters and transitional housing; survivors of domestic abuse and sex trafficking; street outreach programs; migrant services; food pantries; and schools.
Girls Inc. of New York City:
Delivering research-based programs across New York City, building leadership, financial literacy, STEM skills, mental health awareness, and college and career readiness, while empowering girls to overcome barriers and thrive.
