You're invited to the Second Annual Jewish Playwriting Contest in Los Angeles hosted by Holocaust Museum LA, the Ebell of Los Angeles and the Jewish Plays Project! Also in partnership with the Braid Theatre, the Road Theatre and The Last Acting Studio. This contest is part of a national movement to get today's Jewish stories onto the best stages in America.
Over 50 Los Angeles Community Readers- actors, directors, community members, theater lovers - have met for several weeks to read, discuss, and narrow down the top 7 plays to 3 finalists for the LA Contest:

The cast includes noted actor and podcast creator Jonah Platt, Ali Stoner, Rory Kulz, Lauren Schaffel, Daniel Lench, Laura Gardner, Emily Nash, Amir Levi, Beth Lane, Yahm Steinberg, and Allison Youngberg.
Our LA Contest is a combination of a TED Talk, a play reading and American Idol. You'll hear from the playwrights and other exciting guests, including Honorary Producer Jonah Platt. You'll also see excerpts from each of these three plays and vote on which play asks the most essential questions about 21st century Jewish identity that resonate most with you and our LA community.
