Join us for the Paper Cranes Film Kick-Off Party!
An International Women’s Day celebration welcoming our community to the beginning stages of our short film Paper Cranes. 🫶🏽
We’re honored to host this gathering at Zula Den, a subsidiary of the nonprofit Zula Project, whose mission centers healing and creative community.
Ticket sales help cover the space, artists, and supplies that make this gathering possible. We’ll be sharing ways to support Paper Cranes throughout the afternoon. 🕊️
🎟 Please note: A ticket purchase is required to attend — be sure to grab yours through the link!
The film, directed by Michelle Núñez and co written by Michelle and Aviv Rubinstien, follows a young woman hitchhiking across America who encounters a messy, beautiful group of humans along the way. Brought to life by a women-led producing team including Emily Baeza, Lianne O’Shea, Loren Michelle Rayburn, and Jacqueline Ayala, we head into production this June and would love to gather our community to share a bit about the story and celebrate the beginning together.
Hosted by the Paper Cranes team, the afternoon will feature a live afternoon-chill DJ set from SOMNIPHANT, a local vendor marketplace, and community networking. We’ll close our time together with a comedy show and a curated community raffle of artisan goodies.
This gathering is open to all who believe in uplifting women’s voices and supporting independent storytelling! Designed as a space for creativity, connection, and collective celebration. 🌀
A Note About the Space: Zula Den is a no-shoes space. We invite you to wear cozy socks or comfortable footwear that’s easy to slip off upon arrival. The venue is located on the second floor and requires ascending two flights of stairs, as they do not have an elevator.
See you there :)
