Boeing - From Automation to Autonomy: The Next Flight Path for Aviation
Explore how sensing, decision-making, and flight systems are shifting aviation from automation to full autonomy.
Christine Cameron is an Associate Technical Fellow at Boeing with 28+ years in aerospace and more than 20 years focused on autonomous and unmanned systems. She is a key member of the Unmanned Little Bird (ULB) test team and contributed to systems integration and engineering across three ULB variants, turning a proven rotorcraft into a versatile autonomous testbed. Christine served as a test director for the Cargo Air Vehicle (CAV) first flight and was instrumental in risk reduction techniques used in the high profile demonstration for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney. Her work blends hands on flight test leadership, sensor integration (including LIDAR), and practical pathways from automation to operational autonomy.
