Magnificence: A Study in Magnolia

If we don’t already know each other, my name’s Elias, and I love painting.
I’m celebrating the end of my artist residency at The Church of the Resurrection, and I want to show you some of my work.
Why magnolias? I’ll tell you in a quick talk starting around 2:00 pm. For now, just know this tree is very special to me, and I’m hoping it will become special to you, too (if it isn’t already).
On display, expect mostly miniature leaf portraits (just 3 x 5 inches) but know you’ll get to see some of my larger oil paintings as well (as yet secluded from Instagram). On top of the art, expect bourbon, gentle jazz, and some light refreshments.
On the day of, come and go as you please / are able. For now, give me an rsvp if you can, and please invite anyone you feel might appreciate my art. (I know schedules are filling up.)
As a self-critical perfectionist, I’m scared this won’t be as elegant as I dream, but I really have put my heart into this, and I’d love to have you there.
