Let’s get rodeo ready! Join us early at the next Horse Bit where local queer cowboi Ky Dupuis, member of the Bay Area Chapter of the Golden State Gay Rodeo Association, will lead a calf-roping demonstration and lesson. (No live animals will be present. Dummies only.) They will share their expertise in rope-throwing techniques, talk chute dogging and steer decorating, what it means to live the gay rodeo way, and how you can continue to learn and become more involved within this community. No rodeo or dance experience required! All bodies, identities, and abilities are welcome. ✯ Roping demo and lesson starting at 5pm ✯ Line and partner dancing starting at 6pm, first line lesson at 6:15pm ✯ Requests until the sun goes down ✯ Sliding scale $15-$25. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Best Buck in the Bay Gay Rodeo. ✯ Wear supportive shoes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. ✯ Park on the farm, with overflow parking on Armstrong Woods Rd.
