Unearthing Unleaded: Welcome Back to the Farm! Join us for a community celebration as we reopen the gates to a healthier, safer, and "unleaded" urban farm! Over the past few months, the grounds have undergone a massive transformation. We partnered with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division for a comprehensive soil remediation project to remove lead and ensure our land is completely safe for growing and gathering. Now that the heavy machinery is gone and the fresh soil is settled, it's time to bring the community—and the animals—back home! Come celebrate this huge milestone for Unearthing Farm & Market. It’s the perfect opportunity to reconnect with neighbors, explore the freshly revamped grounds, and welcome back our favorite residents: the chickens, goats, pigs, and bunnies after their temporary summer vacation. What to Expect * Welcome Home the Herd (and Flock!): Visit the enclosures as our animals settle back into their newly improved spaces. * Farm Tours: See the results of the spring remediation project firsthand and learn about the future of our urban agriculture programs. * Community Connection: Enjoy the outdoors and reconnect with fellow farm supporters, volunteers, and neighbors who make this space so special.
