Georgetown Law's Abolition Advocacy Project is hosting a book talk on “The Prison Industry: How it Works and Who Profits" with author Bianca Tylek, founder of Worth Rises, a leading organization that spotlights corporations profiting from the underpaid labor of incarcerated individuals. Joining Bianca will be returning citizen John Foreman, who will share his perspective on the system from the inside. Today, John serves as an ambassador for Free Minds, engaging incarcerated youth in art, writing, and peacebuilding skills in their communities. Refreshments provided. Space is limited: RSVP today.
