Lancaster's queer underground dance community. Velvet partners with a different local small business and mutual aid efforts each month to create a unique immersive queer community experience, featuring local DJs, burlesque dancers, and most importantly, you, our community.

Velvet is partnering with the LanCATster Cat Cafe. 🐈⬛♥️
There are two ways to support your community this month!
1. Bring any goods to Velvet on December 19th
2. Bring goods to the LanCATster Cat Cafe today through December 19th.
All wet food, dry food, cat treats, clumping cat litter, and cat litter pans are welcome!
All physical and financial donations will go to low cost, local vet care for families in need of assistance. Requested resources will be used at the LanCATster Cat Cafe and partnered rescues or donated to the Pet Pantry for pet owners in need of assistance.

📍 Where is Velvet? 📍
Find Velvet at a unique queer owned or affiliated location in downtown Lancaster City each month. The address will be revealed (added to this invitation) the day before the event and visible after you have purchased a ticket.
🪭 Please be discreet upon entry, be respectful of neighbors when coming and going, and remember to tip your entertainers!

Respect your community, including yourself, your friends, performers, artists, and your host.
2. Consent
Do not touch others (including performers!) without explicit, verbal consent. Consent is freely given, reversible, informed, and enthusiastic. Do not touch the performers unless invited to do so.
3. Inclusion
This is an inclusive space, specifically centering intersectional intersex, transgender, and queer community. Racism, sexism, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia, abilism, or other forms of discrimination will not be tolerated.
4. Immersion
Come to Velvet for the experience. Dance, make new friends. No phones on the dancefloor. Face each other, not the DJ.
5. Mutual Aid
Participate in mutual aid. Velvet is committed to uplifting our communities. Please share additional time, energy, financial, and physical resources with local mutual aid efforts, as is within your means.
6. Community
You are the Velvet community! Celebrate yourself and your contribution to the Velvet experience. Be curious about your community. Learn about the unique location each month and how they contribute to the Lancaster community. Tip Velvet's performers.
7. Accessibility
NOTAFLOF (No One Turned Away For Lack Of Funds). Velvet 's location changes monthly, therefore, physical accessibility varies by location. Velvet wants this experience to be open to all. 8. Safety
We are BYOB / 21+. IDs checked at the door. Visibly intoxicated individuals may be asked to leave. Please consume safely.
Do not drive under the influence of any substance.
No weapons of any kind.
All bags and coolers I next to search.
No smoking or vaping indoors.
Those who do not adhere to community values will be asked to leave immediately and will not be invited to return.
