Double Dipping: A Mixed Culture Picnic
Imagine your mixed and multicultural identity embodied in a single bite: What ingredients would you use? What recipes would you follow, or reinvent?
There are few culinary canvases as blank and infinite as a dip: something saucy, something crunchy to scoop with, and basically any ingredient from around the world. In celebration of how cultures blend and mix in our identities, join us for a multicultural dip party in Dolores Park!
Some things to know + do:
- Bring a dip + something to dip with to share that embodies two or more of your cultures (inspo down below). Blankets to sit on welcome too!
- Be ready to swap stories with fellow mixed humans! There’s a lot to connect on when it comes to identity, food, and identity via food 🤩
- Don't want to make a dip? Join us anyways, we need people to enjoy what we're making!
- We'll provide plates, cutlery, and bubbly waters, but invite you to BYO reusable ones to help reduce waste too! 🌍
